MusicGoalBot
MusicGoalBot is MusicGoal`s station-crawling robot. It collects informations from the radio stations to build a searchable index for us. On this page, you'll find answers to the most commonly asked questions about how our station crawler works.
How often will MusicGoalBot access my station?
For most stations, MusicGoalBot shouldn't access your station more than once per hour on average. However, due to network delays, it's possible that the rate will appear to be slightly higher over short periods.
MusicGoalBot is crawling my station too fast. What can I do?
Please contact us (info@musicgoal.com) with the URL and PORT of your station and a detailed description of the problem. Please also include a portion of the weblog that shows MusicGoalBot accesses so we can track down the problem quickly.
Can you tell me the IP addresses from which MusicGoalBot crawls so that I can filter my logs?
The IP addresses used by MusicGoalBot change from time to time. The best way to identify accesses by MusicGoalBot is to use the user-agent (MusicGoalBot).
